Drug-using Mothers Find New Life in Christ

The rehabilitation home in Asbest is one of Mission Possible’s four shelters in Russia. Here, mothers dependent on drugs are treated and housed, along with their children.

Last year, 13 mothers were rehabilitated in this home. They were led to Christ and delivered from their addictions.

Creation Seminar Boosts Faith

More then 80% of sunday school teachers in Bulgaria have been trained by Mission Possible. Keeping our commitment to assist the local churches in their ministry towards society and individuals, we responded to the need of training in defending our belief in Creation.

Saving Lives, Not Just Teaching Seminars

Mission Possible organized a pastors' seminar on local church governance in Odessa, Ukraine – at the right time for the churches who have a young leadership. A ladies' seminar was a part of the event.

A Long Road from a Street Child to a Law Student!

Diana, who had lived in our Moscow shelter home for ten years, had a big day in June: High School Graduation! She received a scholarship and is now a law student.

Ten years ago, our street patrol rescued Diana and her brother from the streets of Moscow where they lived with there mother in a desparate situation.

The Unforgettable Children's Bible Camp in Albania

Jennifer Schmidt, a graduate from Christian Life College, writes about Mission Possible's Bible Camp in Albania.

"The kids were so excited about attending the camps! Every day we did crafts and games, taught them songs about Jesus, had Bible lessons, clown shows, small dramas – there were so many activities and the kids loved them all! "

A way out from the Ghettos for Gypsy girls in Bulgaria

Jennifer Schmidt, a graduate from Christian Life College, did a part of her internship this summer with Mission Possible in Bulgaria.

"By introducing Gypsies to Christ, helping them straighten out problems in their lives and assisting them in finding jobs, Mission Possible is working to better the lives of the people in this neglected sub-group."

A Shelter Home in Yekaterinburg!

Mission Possible has been ministering in Yekaterinburg in the Ural mountain area in Russia since 2004.

There is no place to go for street children and teens who are substance abusers. - This is why a shelter home is so needed.

Reaching out to the Muslims in Albania

Mission Possible has been ministering in Albania since this former totalitarian Communist country opened up – one of the few countries that was claimed by the president to be a fully atheistic country.

Today, in addition to other activities, Mission Possible Albania operates a Christian center in Bathore, a slum suburb of Tirana. 500 people a month participate in various activities.

Since 1998 Mission Possible has been feeding and teaching neglected, illiterate children in Gypsy ghettos in Bulgaria.

Prisoner of the Tunnel

Kolya is one in a group of homeless boys who live in an underground pipe tunnel. He had a terrifying experience when he woke up and realized that the hatch of the tunnel had been welded shut and he remained inside!

Asbest, the city with the largest open asbestos mine in the world - is also a city with a lot of alcoholism, drugs, sickness - and many homeless children and families.There however is a lighthouse for them: a shelter home that recently joined the Mission Possible family.

Our street patrol found Oxana and her mother a couple of years ago on the streets of Moscow. For many years, alcohol and the street had been the whole life for them.Now their life has totally changed and Oxana is a worker at our drug rehabilitation center!

People with a Vision

People with a vision break through a rock, if needed. They don't count their working hours or their troubles. They give up their comfort, even endanger their health for others.
Natasha Ivanova, the street ministry leader from Ekaterinburg, is such a person.

A Happy End - And a New Beginning:
Lena and Roman, two young people who were rescued from the street and drugs through our ministry, said “I do” in a wonderful wedding held at our Moscow shelter home in May.

“A Church Is Born!"

In two years, 8 national church planters in Udmurtia, Russia, started 40 churches in unevangelized territories, visiting 5-7 towns and villages per week.

Hundreds became church members, thousands heard a clear Gospel message - a wonderful result of a joint project of the local church, Mission Possible and you, dear friends!

This summer marks the completion of our 2-year support to these church planters in Udmurtia. But the project does not end here.Read a report of a home meeting that reminds of the Apostolic times!

Besa Shapllo, a university professor of English, became the leacer of the newly-established Mission Possible in the Post-Communist Albania 15 years ago. Today her team reaches thousands of children and youth through magazines and Bible clubs.

A phone call from Natasha - a girl who was rescued from the stret and lived many years in our Moscow shelter home - brings back many memories.

Read Natasha's story in our May Newsletter! Even if she was the only child we were able to get off the streets in the past 10 years, all the work and effort would have been worth it! But there have been hundreds more!

“Go and Teach!”

In the post-Soviet territories, the most churches are less than 10-12 years old. There is a great need for training for teachers and leaders.

To meet this need, Mission Possible for over 10 years has been offering the churches a large study program IEF(International Education Fellowship).

Street patrols help children regularly also in exreme cold. Mission Possible's president Ignat Ivanov tells about his visit to our Russian street children's ministry locations and life of homeless children at -49F!

Hopeless father pushed baby carriage day and night. Encounter with street patrol changed everything.
A wonderful testimony from Moscow of how the Lord touched two desperate lives: baby girls was rescued from the street, father found faith in Jesus!

Several new children taken to the Moscow shelter home
During November-December 2005, new children were housed in our shelter home in Moscow. There are now 22 children.

Nine boys at drug rehabilitiation in Ekaterinburg
Mission Possbile's street patrol led by Natasha Ivanova has placed several youths from the street to Christian drug and alcohol rehabilitation. The results are very promising. The first boy, Sasha, has become a Christian and is planning to soon start studies in a Bible school when hie rehabiltation year ends. He has been helping the center in taking care of the newcomers.

Shelter home building purchased in Krasnoyarsk, Russia
Mission Possible runs in the cold Siberian city of Krasnoyarsk a shelter home for street children. It has been operating in two small apartments. In 2005 we found a suitable building, but the paper work took over six months. Now wer are finished with the purchase project and can prepare the new facilities for childrens!
